Aquametro RMS - Driving Efficiency for Wintermar Offshore

Since 2011, Aquametro has been supporting Wintermar Offshore with chartering requirements through reliable fuel monitoring system solutions. Building on years of collaboration, two vessels were successfully commissioned into the Wintermar Fleet in July and August 2025, showcasing the strength of both onboard and remote support.

Onboard Sea Pollux (Offshore Tug) and Lanpan 16 (Tug), RMS now provides accurate engine monitoring to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Depending on the vessel, the system monitors:

  • 2 Main Engines: Estimated Fuel Consumption (based on RPM)
  • 2 Auxiliary Generators: Estimated Fuel Consumption (based on RPM)
  • 3 Auxiliary Generators: Power Output (kW)

Commissioning efforts involved both onboard installation and remote activation, with technical challenges resolved through close coordination with the Wintermar Offshore technical team.

The shipset for Sea Pollux utilizes engine parameters to estimate onboard fuel consumption. Similar systems have been commissioned previously, and the remote support provided has resulted in cost savings for customers.

The onboard commissioning of Lanpan 16 took place in Batam, Indonesia. Onboard Lanpan 16 connectivity is ensured via Starlink and 4G networks, enabling seamless transmission of data back to shore.

Fuel consumption readings, engine signals, and operational events are consolidated and shared through the RMS web portal and mobile app, allowing shipowners and charterers to monitor, analyze, and optimize vessel performance in real time.

This consistent success highlights Aquametro’s commitment to delivering accurate monitoring solutions that drive efficient ship operation, strengthen chartering performance and reduce the carbon footprint.
