Japan has been an important market for Aquametro since the maritime industry became one of our core businesses. Our Japanese representative office was founded in 2004 and is located in Tokyo. The office is led by our International Sales Manager Mr. Yasuhiko Takahashi.
With his engineering background and his extensive experience in the maritime and industrial sector he is creating new business opportunities and takes care of our existing customers in Japan – forming long-term customer relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
Shitanoe Shipbuilding was founded in November 1978 in Usuki City, Oita Prefecture—an area long known for its vibrant shipbuilding industry. Over more than 40 years, they have evolved from building fishing vessels into a globally active shipbuilder, specializing in liquid cargo carriers and vessels operated around the world. They are also recognized for their expertise in highly specialized ship construction, including the world’s largest molten sulfur carrier and the world’s first concentrated nitric acid carrier.
We would like to sincerely thank the SHITANOE shipyard and its team for the very good cooperation over the past years. The open communication, technical collaboration, and mutual commitment to excellence have been key factors in the success of our partnership.
We highly value this relationship and look forward to a continued good partnership in the years to come, supporting future projects with reliable flow measurement solutions for the maritime industry.
