Reduce incompabilities of alternative fuels in ship operation

Reduce incompabilities of alternative, biological fuels or fuel mixtures in ship operation

Most systems, such as the vast majority of all ships in operation today, are still dependent on the use of fossil fuels. One measure to reduce GHG emission can be the use of liquid biofuels, which are sustainably produced from bio-waste or biomass.

The influence of liquid biofuels or blends thereof on the ship system only becomes apparent during long-term ship operation. New fuel mixtures will increase in the maritime market in the near future before a uniform fuel is found. One issue, users regularly experience with fuel mixtures, is instability.

We meet this challenge with our homogenizer. This enables incompatibilities in the fuel to be broken down to a size of 5 µm and thus to produce homogeneous mixtures. This has a positive influence on the combustion process in the engine and its attachments. We are currently achieving good results in the market with this system.
