Swift Commissioning of Bahtera Tiara with RMS

Aquametro Completes Swift Commissioning of Bahtera Tiara with Remote Fuel Monitoring System RMS

Marking a milestone in their partnership, Aquametro and Bourbon Offshore successfully commissioned the Bahtera Tiara, a Multi-Purpose Offshore Vessel, in July 2024. Equipped with cutting-edge fuel monitoring technology, the vessel is ready for charter by a major oil company in Thailand. The project, completed in just three weeks, showcases the strength of their collaboration and commitment to efficiency and innovation.

Since 2020, Aquametro has been supporting Bourbon Offshore with their chartering requirements, specifically in the area of fuel monitoring systems. In late July 2024, Aquametro successfully completed the commissioning of the Bahtera Tiara, a Multi-Purpose Offshore Vessel. This vessel is equipped with flow meters to monitor the fuel consumption of the onboard Diesel Generators and the Emergency Generator. The system also integrates with the vessel's AMS to track individual Diesel Generators’ engine parameters, including Power Output (kW). The vessel is now ready to be chartered to a major oil company in Thailand.

This project was executed on a very tight schedule, with both the customer and Aquametro collaborating closely on logistics, delivery, installation, and commissioning, all completed within just three weeks of the order being placed. This demonstrates the strong partnership Aquametro has with the Bourbon Technical team.

Onboard the vessel, the RMS system monitors the following engines:

  • 3x Diesel Generator - Fuel Consumption
  • 1x Emergency Generator
  • 3x Diesel Generator - Power Output (kW)

The monitored fuel consumption data, along with other readings and events, is transmitted to shore for analysis by charterers and ship owners. This enables better control and performance optimization of the engines via our web portal and mobile app.
